Before 5
Catching up with friends, recovering from the night before, a lazy lunch with wine and cocktails, or a business meeting away from the office, Number 5 have you covered. Traditional breakfasts, or a modern twists on traditional brunch favourites. A diverse menu bursting with flavours, freshly prepared by our chef. Barista made coffee from Marabans, cocktails made by our mixologist, the latest wines, all brought to your table one of our friendly team.
After 5
We are over 18’s only at night. Pick from a menu bursting with seasonal flavours updated regularly by our in-house chef to reflect the products available. Do you want a table with friends to enjoy good food and share stories, or a cosy table for two for a date night? Our relaxed stylish interior can offer both. You bring the company we will provide great food and drink.
Drinks at 5
From 12 noon until 10.30pm you can hear the cocktails shaking at Number 5. From our seasonally changing menu you can pick classics or bespoke in-house creations handcrafted by our mixologists. You can catch up with friends, enjoy a drink with some nibbles whilst the conversation and laughter flow as smoothly as the drinks.
Kitchen
Kiri graduated with her level 3 in catering in 2011 and since then has worked in a variety of restaurants including fine dining and rosetted, expanding her knowledge and skills. Coming from a farming background Kiri is skilful in butchery. Whilst at the Raven in Wenlock she worked on her pastry and dessert skills, being seconded to the Grosvenor. 2020 Kiri joined our team heading up the kitchen. She has evolved the menus and brought gorgeous food to the people of Shifnal
Front of house
Being our eldest Daughter Millie has been part of Number 5 from the beginning. She is the talent behind the cocktail menu with our popular Queen B being her recipe. Millie took on a full time as general manager at the end of 2022. In 2025 she was still shaking cocktails two weeks before welcoming her daughter into the world and soon after named a cocktail after her. You can’t miss Millie with her bright hair and a cocktail shaker in her hand.
Our Story
Number 5 is a family run business. After travelling around the world together for 18 months and living in Australia for a year, Dave spent 28 years as an award-winning portrait photographer, Yvonne always worked alongside him. In 2014 they decided to open a small coffee shop alongside the photography studio. Lots then happened, the photography market changed, covid hit, the economy changed beyond recognition and through all that Number 5 changed and evolved from a small coffee shop into the seasonally inspired kitchen and bar it is today.
But why Number 5? It wasn’t simply because we are 5 Park Street. That was just a coincidence. The name was chosen as we are a family of 5, a team, a unit, stronger when we work together. Amelia-rose can be found working behind the bar and she is the cocktail genius. Over the years both Charlotte and Daisy have worked at Number 5 until they pursued different careers but can still be found helping when extra hands are needed, (especially when the new cocktail and food menu needs testing!) Our girls help bring new, fresh ideas to the business. Family is everything and together we can face any challenge.
